HF/Web 2001

Judy Cantor, jcantor@att.com

Congratulations to Phil Kortum and IBM, & Ed Kunzinger and SBC for another successful HFWeb conference! This years' conference had record attendance, and a range of stellar presentations from a diverse group of professionals. One of our new additions this year was the HFWeb Tutorials sponsored by Optavia Corporation. Tutorials topics included Information Architecture, E-Commerce, Accessibility, and Internationalization, and were presented by true best-in-class experts. The votes are in, and each of the tutorials were very well received. Proceeding are now available at http://www.tri.sbc.com/hfweb/

The future is looking bright! In 2001, we are stretching our reach and attempting to include more of our colleagues in HFWeb. For the first time, HFWeb will convene in 2 locations in the early summer. The first will be sponsored by Optavia Corporation in Madison Wisconsin. The other will be our first International HFWeb, and will take place at the University of Nice, in the south of France. Special thanks to Marco Botto for coordinating this effort. We are very excited about the International HFWeb, and hope that it will the be first of many around the world.

Websites will soon be available for our 2001 conferences. Stay tuned!

Judy Cantor, Ph.D.
Chair, HFWeb Planning Committee
