Web Site User Centered Design: Techniques for Gathering Requirements and Tasks

Appendix G: Scenario Building Survey

  1. Describe a situation in which you would come to this web site. Include any problems, questions, or information that would cause you to want to visit the site.

  2. Next, list your goals for visiting the site. That is, what would you like to accomplish in coming to the site? What information would you want to obtain from the site? How would you know that you've achieved your goal?

  3. Finally, describe how you think you would go about completing the task using the web site. Where would you begin? What would you click on? What information would you expect to find? Be as specific as you can about how you would expect to complete the task.
